How did you hear about U of Mom?
A link from a classifieds website. Normally I do not follow advertisement links but I did this time, and am happy I did!

If you have children, how many do you have and what are their ages?
I have one and he will be 6 in November.

How old are you:
A) Under 25

Describe your favorite pair of shoes or your favorite power tool:
Black boots with narrow toe and thin 2 inch heel. Power tool? Sander! Does that count?

Do you have a Hobby?
I love/hate politics. The last year I've been reading up on the politics I did not pay attention to in school. I also enjoy gardening, LOVE camellia's but I cannot find any in Kansas! Also I like music (all genres that meaning, some level of uniqueness), films (all genres!) driving in silence in my rural county.

How about pets?
I have one dog-daughter. She is a blue heeler/collie mix and her name is Berdie. She brings an incredible amount of joy to our family. My son plays catch with her while my fiance (father) likes to throw a Frisbee with her. I just love on her and brush her pretty white fur.

What kind of Music do you like?
:hardchoice: Well that's difficult for me to answer. I'm really into glam, LOVE David Bowie. My favorite types are: Alternative, Country from early 80's to mid 90's, Classic Rock, Classical, Trip-hop (not to be confused with techno or hip-hop). But in all honesty I really like MOST music, generally nothing that's on today's top 40.

What is your favorite slang word?
I really don't know what that would be.

Who was your teenage celebrity crush?
Bowie, Chris Cornell and Edward Norton.

If you had $1,000 to spend any way you wanted, what would you spend it on? (You can't pay bills with it!!)
I'd get my hair done! My hair is long and it would cost SO much money to get it styled professionally. Then I'd buy some new shoes :moonwalk:. What is left, if any, I'd spend on movies and/or music.

Thank you!

So I've been browsing and wow, lot's to browse lol. I plan to really get into this. Not trying to be a brown noser, but this seems like a really great place to spend a little time during the day while my kiddo is in kindergarten

I've gone to the dorm room and I think I can do some of those things now, but I want to take my time. Any suggestions?

Other than what you are doing I don't have any suggestions! This truly is a great place and everyone is very nice and respectful towards each other. Just look around, post, reply to posts, and get to know us. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask anyone. You can PM any mod, supermod, owner, student council member. Really just about anyone!

Looking forward to getting to know more about you!

:wavey: Glad to see another new face. I'm new too! I'd say, ask me anything if you need help, but I'm still learning too. I've figured out most of it, but I think you'd find the other members to be better informed. Looking forward to getting to know you. :starhang:

welcome

I hope you love it here. Just jump right in, if you want to do the stuff go for it but don't feel like you have to. It is just as fun taking your time and learning as you go.

:hi: :welcomedance: It is great to have you here! I don't listen to a lot of music, except mostly 80's hair bands, but I have to know what is "trip-hop" I have never heard of it so I am curious about the sounds, etc.

That is my Final Exam link. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to link the introduction to the final or vice versa. So I did both!
